The Zhytomyr Rehabilitation Center is designed to provide patients with a comprehensive range of rehabilitation services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The core idea of the project is to create a comfortable and supportive environment that promotes faster recovery and a return to active life.
The architectural form is based on a functional scheme and ergonomic principles. Spaces are designed for intuitive navigation, with physiotherapy, cardio, magnetotherapy, occupational and psychotherapy, manual and art therapy rooms, gym, therapeutic pools, and hydro-massage baths arranged logically to prevent overlapping flows, ensuring a sense of control and safety for patients.
The design leverages a sensory experience, incorporating a variety of materials, textures, colors, and spaces that engage all five senses. Common areas allow patients to choose between social interaction and solitude, while internal and external social spaces are designed for educational activities, group therapy, and family interactions.
The surrounding Hydro Park landscape is carefully preserved, with existing greenery integrated into the project and new green rooftop terraces created for relaxation and sunbathing. Solar panels on the roofs of the patient ward and sports hall provide energy autonomy, while a separate boiler room ensures the efficiency of the building’s energy systems.
Technological solutions were developed in collaboration with Technology Project Group LLC, ensuring modern standards and efficient functionality.
The center represents a harmonious fusion of contemporary architecture, natural environment, and advanced rehabilitation methods, creating optimal conditions for restoring health and promoting active living.
