The Egypt Center for Research and Regenerative Medicine is a concept design for a state-of-the-art scientific complex envisioned to support advanced stem cell research in Egypt. The architectural proposal brings together high technological standards, a clear functional structure, and a refined cultural identity expressed through contemporary forms.
The project includes a next-generation stem cell laboratory featuring a multi-tier system of clean rooms designed to maintain strict environmental control for sensitive research processes. Two underground laboratory levels accommodate specialized equipment and controlled technical spaces, while five above-ground floors provide flexible areas for research, collaboration, and administration.
An independent vivarium block is proposed as an essential part of the complex, comprising four above-ground and three underground floors dedicated to animal research and support facilities operating under controlled conditions.
With a total planned area of approximately 13,000 square meters, the concept aims to optimize circulation, safety, and operational efficiency. National motifs integrated into the façade design establish a visual link to Egyptian heritage, giving the technologically advanced facility a culturally anchored architectural character.
The concept was developed in collaboration with Technology Project Group LLC, combining interdisciplinary expertise and forward-thinking design solutions.
